iMultiply are partnering with a Leeds based Top 10 Accountancy Firm to recruit for VAT Manager

The Practice

The Firm’s VAT practice has an enviable range of experts who help their customers navigate the VAT landscape.

Day to day you will be responsible for;

Ensuring customers VAT activities comply with statutory time limits, and managing compliance work efficiently and effectively
Identifying advisory opportunities and undertaking specialist technical assignments as required
Dealing with client queries in a timely manner
Reporting directly to the Partner, keeping them updated on progress
Being the primary point of contact for clients on VAT queries and maintaining excellent client service
Liaising with other departments to ensure a coordinated and cohesive service
Monitoring WIP, ensuring recoverability and billing is completed
Maintaining a high level of technical expertise through your own research and utilising the Firm’s resources
Identifying new opportunities and converting them into recurring work
Assisting other departments in the research and preparation of proposals
Assisting in review and quality control procedures

To be considered for the role you will ideally have;

Previous experience of working in VAT
Experience in advisory as well as compliance work
Strong client interaction skills
Excellent report writing skills
