iMultiply is delighted to be engaged by this global product-based business in its search for a Systems Accountant who will add value during a period of significant positive change.  This is a 12 month fixed term contract with hybrid working on offer based out of their Headquarters in North Lanarkshire.

The Role

The purpose of this role support the re-implementation of the ERP system to an updated version, incorporating changes to trading flows (inter/intra company) as part of a new internal operating model within the Group and the introduction of new functionality.  You will support the business readiness activity and the implementation of the cutover for Group Finance areas, including but not limited to: Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank & Cash, VAT, Period Close, Business Planning and Consolidation.  You will also support Group Finance change management, through strong communication skills, liaising with business representatives, in line with the project plan and Go-Live.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to drive the implementation of the Group Finance modules in the new ERP system. This includes a considerable amount of change in both benefits and functionality.

  • Supporting the business readiness activity across the finance function in preparation for go-live of the ERP system.

  • Helping to drive data migration activities in preparation for Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) and Go-Live cutover, including testing and verification of the integrity of the data.

  • Supporting the post-go live support activities including immediate critical care and subsequent error resolution.

  • Partnering with the Group Reporting and Group Management Reporting teams to ensure that the new system provides appropriate statutory and management reporting capabilities.

  • Supporting the building of the statutory and management accounts, balance sheet and cash flow, and the splitting out of legal entities into new reporting entities and business unit divisions.

  • Developing an understanding of the new Internal operating trading model and support the Group Finance activities to identify and manage the associated changes.

  • A detailed involvement in ORT testing of the system and internal operating model changes, including documentation of results, ensuring financial postings are accurate and identify issues and actions to mitigate.

  • Contributing to team meetings and project workshops to progress the Finance activities on the project.

  • Taking ownership of key documentation and ad hoc financial analysis using the ERP system and supporting reporting tool to support the Group Reporting team.

  • Having key involvement with business users based upon knowledge gained through working on the project, including changes to system processes as part of the training of all end users of the module.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing ERP systems with a strong financial background with an understanding of both statutory and management reporting with.  It would also be beneficial to present with an understanding of key consolidation concepts and intra/intercompany experience.
