iMultiply are working in partnership with a well-known Edinburgh based business on an Interim Senior Financial Accountant role.

The Organisation

This opportunity will give you the chance to join a complex but interesting business with a fantastic people-orientated culture. The Finance Team supports the organisations delivery of its mission, strategic priorities and business objectives. While utilising their ERP system, the team is responsible for effectively managing and planning the organisations financial resources, identification of sustainable funding streams, as well as accurate and timely financial statutory and management reporting.

The Role

The role of Senior Financial Accountant will support the Financial Controller with Month end Management Accounts and the gathering and the production of statutory accounts. The successful candidate will have operated at Finance Manager or above, and have strong technical and statutory accounting experience.

Responsibilities

Preparation of statutory financial statements
Ownership of month end close and reporting for your allocated area of the business
Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process to ensure timely completion of the statutory audit
Provide technical accounting advice to members of the finance team and the wider business
Analyse accounting systems used to look for inaccuracies and potential improvements
Ad-hoc project work

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA) is essential.
Proactive self-starter with proven ability to problem solve complex issues.
Must have sound knowledge and expertise with core IT packages including advanced use of excel
Excellent communicator and strong team player.
Presence of character to command respect and build productive and collaborative working relationships at all levels
Commercial, manufacturing or supply chain backgrounds preferred
