The Role

The position of Senior Financial Accountant is a newly created position due to further growth and expansion. The chosen candidate will become an integral part of a thriving and innovative Group, presenting an exciting opportunity to specialise on financial and reporting technicalities.

The role will support the team and be responsible for maintaining financial records and for providing relevant information for managers and decision makers.

To be considered you must possess strong technical accounting skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders right across the globe including interaction & participation with several high value projects. 

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Preparing group management accounts as well as the Group's interim results and the Group's annual report.
  • Aid in generating regular and ad hoc financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders, including funders.
  • Assist the Group FC with audit and year-end process.
  • Provide support for Group cash flow management, planning, and reporting.
  • Take the lead in upholding and revising documentation related to the Group's key financial controls, policies, and processes, catering to internal and audit requisites.
  • Oversee monthly inter-company reconciliations
  • Regularly update schedules for inter-company and external loans.
  • Ensure the punctual submission of accurate VAT returns for both UK and overseas companies, including VAT groups.
  • Prepare company tax documents and other corporation tax materials for the group promptly, collaborating with the Group's tax advisors as needed.
  • Support the CFO in the registration and de-registration of group companies to maintain an efficient group structure.
  • Foster a collaborative approach with the Group FC to offer assistance to the Assistant Accountant when required.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA) is essential.
  • Proactive self-starter with proven ability to problem solve complex issues.
  • Must have sound knowledge and expertise with core IT packages including advanced use of excel
  • Excellent communicator and strong team player.
  • Presence of character to command respect and build productive and collaborative working relationships at all levels
  • Experience of working in an international, listed or PE-backed company is desired.
