iMultiply is excited to be supporting a world leading e-commerce business in the travel sector who are looking to hire a Financial Controller for a 6 month FTC to cover a period of maternity leave.

The Opportunity

You’ll be responsible for leading the Finance team in Edinburgh focused on the Payments and Customer Service functions. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you’ll manage a team of 7 supporting the day-to-day financial management and control to these critical areas of the business across the UK and international markets. You’ll bring ideas about what ‘good’ looks like in terms of process, seeking opportunities to automate wherever you can supported by their Data teams.

The ever-expanding business changes by the day, and they add new revenue streams and suppliers all the time. As such, you will need to be able to build excellent relationships outside of Finance to be able to identify changes before they happen, and develop ‘best in class’ processes. In addition, you’ll business partner closely with both functions to help them deliver the financial information they need to do a brilliant job.

On one typical day, you may be leading the team through the month end close, helping troubleshoot problems and identifying areas for future improvement of processes. The next, you may be working with one of their Edinburgh-based data specialists to help automate processes. Working in a rapidly evolving business like theirs, there is always a new challenge and opportunities to develop your skill set and turn your hand to new things

• Input into the Group audit process throughout the year, reviewing and providing relevant audit requests and liaising with auditors on queries/issues

• Work closely with the London head office and Paris finance teams to provide insight and reporting around your areas of responsibility.
