Accountancy Practice - Accountant (Qualified)

iMultiply are working in partnership with a well established firm of Chartered Accountants to recruit a Senior Accountant in Glasgow.

The Company

The Firm has been in existence for over 40 years and provides the full range of accountancy services to a client base that is predominantly based in the west of Scotland but also further afield.

The Role

The Senior Accountant position is a client facing role that will involve the preparation and review of statutory and management accounts, presenting accounts for manager review, liaising and meeting with clients regarding queries, mentoring and training junior members of staff and involvement in ad-hoc advisory work.

Suitable candidates will be qualified accountants (CA/ACCA) with at least 2 years post-qualified experience and will posses the following work experience:

Minimum of 2 -3 years post qualified experience
Letter and report writing skills
Experience of accounts preparation (Limited companies, sole traders & partnerships) with understanding of range of technical aspects, disclosure requirements and how clients may need specific advice
Broad knowledge of small business taxation including VAT
Ability to recognise potential tax implications (savings or risks)
Client facing experience with ability to understand client needs and communicate information that they may not immediately understand
Experience of managing your own portfolio of clients preferred but not essential
Driving licence preferred but not essential
Iris accounts production - preferred
Sage Line 50 & Xero - preferred
