Public Practice Consultant – Edinburgh based 
 
The iMultiply Public Practice team recruit accountancy professionals for positions within accountancy firms throughout Scotland and North West England. 
 
Our customers range from the household names of the ‘Big Four’ multinational accountancy practices all the way through to small and medium sized local independent firms.  

We recruit across all disciplines within the Public Practice space including Audit, Business Services, Tax, Corporate Finance, Corporate Recovery/Insolvency and Payroll – and at all levels from part qualified trainees to Directors and Partners. 
 
Due to the successful year experienced by the wider iMultiply business and by the Public Practice team in particular we are now looking to grow the team by adding an additional Consultant to manage and grow the Edinburgh part-qualified market. 
 
The role is for a ‘360’ Consultant meaning that as well as searching for and identifying suitable candidates the jobholder will also be liaising with our customers’ hiring managers and internal recruiters, maintaining and strengthening those relationships as well as developing new ones. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities will include: 
  

Sourcing and engaging with suitable candidates through effective use of the CRM system, LinkedIn, advertising/marketing, CV databases, referrals, headhunting and networking 
 
Conducting registration interviews in order to ascertain candidate suitability for specific vacancies and to understand the candidates’ work history, skills, experience, motivations and preferences   
 
Matching candidates to live vacancies and introducing the candidate to the customer with the aim of obtaining an interview for the candidate 

Proactively promoting candidates to customers on an ‘opportunity hire’ basis 
 
Liaising with both parties in setting up the interview process   

Preparing the candidate for interview 
 
Providing interview feedback to both parties 
 
Handling salary negotiations and the offer process 
 
Point of contact for customers looking to recruit part-qualified vacancies in Edinburgh and the East 


Taking job briefs, attending agency briefings and managing client relationships 

 
Attending networking events and seeking out business development opportunities 


Developing relationships with hiring managers, HR departments and internal recruitment contacts 

Involvement in marketing activity and assisting with running events 
 
Working closely and collaboratively with other areas of the business    

The Person: 
 
The role is open to graduates and to non-graduates who have work experience in other sectors e.g accountancy or sales 

Attributes will include excellent written and verbal communication skills, an inquisitive nature, good listening skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritise, and an advanced level of commercial awareness
