iMultiply are partnering with a well-established and friendly legal business requiring a Purchase Ledger Clerk for their Glasgow city central office.  

The Company

This business is undoubtedly one of the market leaders within their sector working with a number of recognisable clients.

The Role

Due to continual growth of the business, this company is looking to hire a Purchase Ledger Clerk to add value to the finance team whilst also supervising the Accounts Payable team to ensure continued success of the business as a whole.

You will report directly to the Cashroom Manager and be responsible for a wide variety of Purchase Ledger tasks in order to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day finance function.  

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Finance Manager for Purchase Ledger
  • Supervising the Purchase Ledger team
  • Processing high volumes of invoices
  • Positing & Reconciling payments
  • Matching, coding and batching of invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with financial administration
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Dealing with purchase and supplier enquiries
  • Processing payments to suppliers
  • Management and resolution of key invoicing & credit control issues
  • Weekly payment runs

 

On Offer

This role offers a starting salary between £24,000 - £26,000 As well as offering plenty of holidays, pension, and healthcare. The company is happy to negotiate regarding flexible working and career-progressing training for the right candidate.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar type role
  • Experience of managing or supervising a small team
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills (in particular Excel)
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
