Accountancy Practice - Finance Specialist (Tax, VAT, Compliance)

iMultiply are working in partnership with a Top 20 Edinburgh based Accountancy Firm to recruit a Personal Tax Assistant Manager/Manager.

The Practice

A well renowned and highly regarded Accountancy Firm based in the centre of Edinburgh. The Practice is renowned for its expertise and in the Private Client space. The practice works with a range of high profile HNWIs, trusts, estates and owner managed businesses.

The Role

The primary function of this opportunity is to manage the delivery of personal tax services to a growing client portfolio. The opportunity presents great variation between compliance and advisory.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for;

Playing a key role in the delivery of first-class client service
Executing advisory projects
Participating with senior members of the team in business development activities
Cross-selling the firm’s other departments
Supervising, reviewing work and assisting junior members in managing their own portfolio of clients
Coaching and developing junior members of staff
Keeping internal control records up to date and ensuring compliance with quality control procedures
Preparing fees and budgets/proposals for potential new clients and discussing with senior members of the team

To be considered for the role you will ideally have;

CTA qualified or equivalent experience
People management or supervisory experience in tax would be highly advantageous
A track record in complex tax planning
Ability to engage, interact and influence senior stakeholders
