An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Supervisor on a permanent basis. We are seeking a high calibre individual who has high emotional intelligence and relationship building skills to lead a team in a dynamic and project-based environment. 

The Company 

The company is widely respected dedicated to producing specialist research, delivering high quality education, and providing comprehensive consultancy services. One of the largest organisations of its kind they strive to maintain a team orientated and friendly working culture. 

The Role 

This is a people supervisory role with a team of 2, responsible for providing monthly payroll services for approximately 1500 people monthly. It is essential to have first class stakeholder engagement skills as you will be responsible for providing professional payroll advice to the business.

On Offer

The role of Payroll Supervisor will offer a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package. The offices premises are based in Edinburgh and easily accessible via public transport with parking facilitates onsite.

Main responsibilities and deliverables: 

  • Management of Payroll process for the company
  • Coordinate and manage year-end payroll process 
  • Responsible for coordinating the New Starts/Leaver process
  • Maintaining accurate & up to date employee records 
  • Manage and report pension contributions
  • Management of P11D process
  • Process expense payment runs
  • System administration tasks
  • Ad hoc tasks

The Person:

  • CIPP Qualified or equivalent
  • Previous experience of working within a business undergoing a systems implementation
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding complex information
  • Experience of manual tax calculations 
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills (in particular Excel)
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
