iMultiply are working with a health and wellbeing charity based in Edinburgh who are looking for a Payroll Officer. The role is part time, 25 hours a week, and is paying the full time equivalent salary of around £25,000 (based on a 39 hour week).

The Organisation 

This charity's work is broad and diverse like the people they support. They support people living with disabilities, long term conditions or facing challenging life situations to live well. This support takes many forms as they take a 'person-centred' approach. 

The Role

The role of Payroll Officer will report into the Payroll Manager and will be vital in supporting the processing of a large monthly payroll. 

The successful individual will have good experience of the full payroll process; and be able to handle a high paced, deadline driven working environment.

You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties: 

  • Processing starters and leavers
  • Calculating holiday pay, sickness, maternity pay etc.
  • Calculating overtime payments 
  • Dealing with queries 
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed​

To be considered for this opportunity you must: 

  • Previous experience in a payroll position is a prerequisite for the role
  • Have strong Excel and IT skills 
  • Exceptional communication skills and customer service
  • Ability to work under pressure and in an environment with constant change

On Offer

The role of Payroll Officer will offer a FTE salary of c£25,000. This new position is 25 hours a week, however there is some flexibility around this.
