Glasgow City Centre 

£20,000 - £29,000 plus benefits 

Part time (3-4 days a week)

The Role

The role of Payroll Executive sits within an experienced Payroll team. The purpose of this role is to join an established payroll team and progress within the team gaining payroll knowledge and experience while accurately processing your own client portfolio.

On Offer

The role of Payroll Assistant which is based in Glasgow will offer a salary of £20,000 - £29,000 plus benefits and excellent progression potential for the right candidate.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Processing end to end payroll for a variety of clients in a timely manner with support from the Payroll Manager
  • Providing payment reports
  • Liaising with clients and building effective working relationships
  • Dealing with internal and external queries 
  • Advising on auto enrolment and other legislative changes
  • Issuing payslips
  • Ensuring clients are provided with the best service
  • General ad hoc duties

To be considered for this position you must be:

  • Payroll bureau experience and technical knowledge of running complex payrolls
  • The ideal candidate for this role will be reliable and have excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to take responsibility and suggest solutions to problems encountered
  • Experience of BrightPay payroll and other payroll software packages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Evidence of a positive attitude of mind to work and to clients required
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation whilst working as part of a team
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Strong Excel skills, including using spreadsheets for reports and calculations
  • Great client relationship skills
