up to £27,000 P.A. plus additional working benefits 

The Company

This well-established Accountancy firm focuses on Payroll, Audit, Personal Tax, Corporate Tax - liaising closely with Charities and Business Services. This company employs around 60 members of staff and has a wide range of client portfolios. The role will initially be based from home but will move to office-based once guidelines allow. A leading business within their sector, they have experienced steady growth over the last few years, and now, the business’ customer-centric approach has allowed them to increase their team.

The Role

​You will be reporting to a Payroll Manager and working within a small payroll team. You will be completing end-to-end payroll, payroll bureau, and pensions. You will be the main point of contact for most clients both in person and over the phone. 

This role will also consider Part-Time however only you have experience of 3 years minimum within payroll (bureau) environment.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Processing weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll
  • Dealing with internal and external payroll questions & queries
  • Dealing with starters, leavers, P11D, P45, SMP etc.
  • Liaising with HMRC and ensuring compliance with statutory returns and regulations such as auto-enrolment 
  • Improving and maintaining databases

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years practical payroll experience - ESSENTIAL
  • Working knowledge of auto-enrolment - ESSENTIAL
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office including excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Checking how many hours employees have worked
  • Calculate overtime, pay increases, and shift payments
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • RTI and Auto-enrolment
