iMultiply is working in partnership with a market-leading Big Four professional services firm to recruit an M&A Tax Senior Associate in Edinburgh.

The M&A Tax Practice is a national team and works on a wide range of private equity, real estate and other transactions advising both buyers and seller on the tax implications of transactions. The Firm’s clients are based across the globe, offering an unrivalled opportunity to work with some household names whilst sitting here in Scotland.

The Role

Day to day duties of the M&A Tax Senior Associate role will include managing tax advice and implications on an ever-changing client portfolio, delivering tax advice and working with other M&A specialists and working closely with other members of the team on a wide variety of deals. 

Day to day you will be responsible for;

  • Delivering tailored tax advice to your clients in an exciting deals market
  • Working closely with Transaction Services and other global teams
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Develop internal relationships with Managers and Directors
  • Developing your own technical knowledge
  • Keeping abreast of general business and economic developments that could materially affect the deals market

To be considered for the role you will ideally have;

  • A professional Accountancy qualification – ICAS/ICAEW or equivalent – or Tax-Qualified – CTA or equivalent
  • Experience in building and leveraging internal and external relationships and networks
  • An ability to plan and deliver work against tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • An inquisitive mind and a strong analytical skillset
