iMultiply is exclusively engaged by this Engineering Company in their search for a Management Accountant based in Inverclyde on a full time permanent basis. Agile working options are available for this role.

The Role

This is an brilliant opportunity to join a company with a truly outstanding senior management team. This is a new role in the expanding finance team and the ideal candidate will work closely with the highly experienced Financial Controller providing operational finance and commercial project support. This is a highly varied and dynamic role, supporting all aspects of the finance team while also interfacing with and supporting the wider company.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Support annual accounts process, liaising with external auditors,
Preparation of monthly cost reports in support of Management Accounts,
Inter company charges and reconciliations on a monthly basis,
Assist and support accounts payable and payroll when required,
Prepare cash flow forecasts, and monitor and update monthly,
Prepare allocation of direct labour, production overhead, and SG&A costs,
Develop relationship with Project Management team, developing and providing project finance support with the Financial Controller
Develop project accounting standards and processes with the Financial Controller,
Maintain internal project cost summaries and budget tracking,
Project WIP reconciliations to be reviewed monthly,
Continuous improvement of business processes.

To be successful in this role you must meet the following criteria:

Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent),
Have strong excel and systems skills,
Have a proven track record of working on long term projects,
Experience of providing financial support to and working as part of a project team, used to having relationships with non-finance budget holders such as engineering and other operations staff, helping them make sense of financial information and helping to keep projects on budget,
Experience of developing, working and maintaining budgets and forecasts.

On Offer

This Management Accountant role is offered on a full time, permanent basis with a salary of £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience. The working model is mostly from home at the moment, after on-boarding, and this will evolve to a hybrid working model later in the year. In future there will be a requirement for attendance on site in Inverclyde 2-3 times per week. This employer is genuinely open to discussing an agile approach to work for the successful candidate.
