£40,000 - £45,000 - Industry & Commerce - Accountant (Qualified)

iMultiply are working in partnership with a leading professional services business in the to recruit a Management Accountant on an 18-month fixed term maternity cover based in Edinburgh.

The Company

A well established and highly performing business that operates right across the UK that is currently going through an exciting period of change. You will be based at the central hub and remotely working within a talented finance team.

The Role

This business-critical role will support the Finance Manager and liaise with Senior Managers and budget holders. Furthermore, you will be under the stewardship of an exceptional line manager who has a proven track record and takes exceptional pride in developing their team. To be considered for this opportunity you must be a qualified accountant with an industry background possessing strong analytical and business partnering skills

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

Preparing management accounts and all P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, including analysing variances to budget
Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
Preparation of annual statutory accounts
Providing ad hoc financial reporting and analysis
Providing detailed support on audit queries, taking responsibility for routine items
Processing VAT and other statutory returns
Providing authorisation of bank transfers and weekly payment runs
Processing and reconciling all additional recharges and transactions

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

Qualified accountant from industry background.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
A proactive individual, with ability to work under tight deadlines.
Proficient excel skills with ability to use pivot tables and lookup formula.
Previous experience in professional services advantageous but not essential.

On Offer

The role will offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 plus an excellent benefits package which includes pension, ample holidays, and other great benefits. The offices are easily accessible via public transport with parking available onsite.
