The Role

The position of International Financial Accountant has arisen offering a salary of up to £50,000 including an excellent benefits package. The role has a high level of finance business partnering and will require a candidate to have a strong technical and problem solving mindset in a role where technical accounting standards will be tested on a regular basis. This is an ideal role for a newly qualified accountant aiming to transition from big 4 or mid tier firm to an industry business.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

Work as part of a small team of accountants based in Edinburgh supporting financial operations globally
Ensuring local offices are complying to standards and that audits and other regulatory controls are in place
Work with central Finance & Management Accounting teams to communicate regular month end requirements together with any changes required at quarter of year ends
Developing improved processes and controls centrally and locally in international locations
Project work to include the set up of new locations where new processes and controls will need implemented

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

Qualified ACCA or ICAS professional accountancy qualification
Strong technical accounting skills with knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP with ability to solve the most complex of problems
Proficient in MS Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Confident professional manner
Strong analytical skills
