iMultiply are working in partnership with an innovative organisation looking for a Full-Time Internal Auditor to join on an initial 6 month fixed term contract.

This is a Full-Time office based role in Glasgow, with the opportunity to gain training and experience in the finance sector. The role offers a competitive salary, pension and holiday allowance. 

The Role

Conducting audits to assess the effectiveness and accuracy of the Group’s financial system’s recordkeeping. The successful candidate will ensure that both internal and financial processes comply with laws and regulations.

The Internal Auditor will recommend changes to the Group’s operation teams and perform investigative work into related issues.

  • Perform IT audits, assessing the safety and accuracy of financial data stored
  • Perform operation audits, looking at whether the Company’s internal controls are adequate
  • Conducting and reporting on the effectiveness of Internal Control system, corporate governance, and oversight functions
  • Undertaking review of the adequacy and suitability of internal control within various functional units
  • Conducting risk assessment and managing KRIs
  • Maintain and manage the risk register
  • Maintaining Risk Error Reports (RER)
  • Reviewing industry trend and competitors’ standing as part of management audit
  • Analysing cost/benefit analysis as part of internal audit reviews on selected transactions and business propositions and review of conduct of business

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree in either business, finance, accounting or economics or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in accounting or auditing, knowing how to assess financial influences
  • Experience with computational auditing, using computers to sort out and analyse data
  • Competency with auditing software to perform calculations while creating in-depth reports Desirable:
  • In-depth knowledge of the Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High levels of integrity and ethical standards
  • A keen eye for detail to successfully scrutinise data
