Home-Start Glasgow South is a family support charity offering support that helps to give young children the best possible start in life.
We work with families to help them overcome issues affecting their lives with a range of family support services. Issues like isolation, mental health difficulties, bereavement, family breakdown, addiction, physical ill-health and more. We’ve been supporting local families across the south of Glasgow since 2000.
We seek to recruit a new Treasurer who will oversee financial governance, financial practices and reporting. Turnover is approximately £650k per annum made up of a mixture of statutory and foundation grants and donations through fundraising. The Treasurer will work with the Senior Leadership Team and the Finance Officer to ensure the smooth running of the Finances for the charity.
We are looking for a qualified accountant, preferably with knowledge of the charity sector and qualified by experience candidates are welcome.
The time commitment is roughly 1.5 days a month which includes attendance at monthly Board meetings and occasional training.
This is a voluntary position with travel expenses reimbursed.
