iMultiply are delighted to engaged on the role of Head of Stock Accounting for a leading industry and commerce business based in the Central Scotland. The role is offering a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum.

The Role

The Head of Stock accounting sits within the senior management team in finance reporting into the Financial Controller as well as delivering weekly and monthly results to the Regional Finance Director and Finance Business Partners. The role will also be responsible for managing a team of up to 5 engaging relevant internal stakeholders to ensure efficiencies are maintained.

On Offer

The role of Head of Stock Accounting will offer a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 and is a Permanent role. The office is based in Central Scotland, with parking available on site. 

You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties: 

  • Management and development of the stock accounting team
  • Management and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual stock reporting to all stakeholders
  • Overall responsibility and management of all Stock reconciliations and analysis
  • Overall responsibility for stock compliance and reporting.
  • Management and development of all existing and future Stock related systems, process and controls.
  • Responsible for Hedge accounting and reporting process
  • Input to the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and 3yr strategic plans as required
  • Stock margin adjustment input to weekly profit forecast process 
  • Provision of ad hoc stock reporting and analysis requirements.
  • Management and delivery of all stock information required to support statutory reporting. 

To be considered for this opportunity you must:

  • Fully qualified accountant – 3 - 5yrs PQE 
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Experience of leading and managing a team
  • Experience of managing a high volume transactional stock accounting process
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to interact with senior management
