£85,000 - Industry & Commerce - Finance Executive/Management

iMultiply are working in partnership with a well-established Technology business who are looking for a Group Financial Controller based in the Edinburgh. This is an innovative and thriving business and we are looking for an experienced person who will be responsible for the financial management of the group, including management of the finance team, corporate accounting and financial reporting, treasury, and transactional services together with project support

The Role

The successful candidate will join this thriving business reporting to the Group Finance Director. The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for the financial accounting of all Group activities.

The key focus areas for this role are to maintain and strengthen financial control, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, preparing the monthly financial statements, and leading the finance team effectively.

Key areas of Responsibility

Prepare timely and accurate consolidated monthly financial statements including full variance analysis with a detailed commentary, along with the reporting requirements for lenders and investors
Provide business intelligence as required for key budget stakeholders to enable them to manage budgets
Support month-end and year-end close process.
Support Financial Reporting Manager with annual audits by including preparing financial and tax information as required
Assist the Finance Director with research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance.
Undertake strategic analysis and assist the Finance Director with strategic planning.
Review all financial plans regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
Leading the finance team - Mentoring, coaching, management support and development including appraisals, evaluations, and reporting of individual performance targets for your direct reports, plus oversight of their direct reports.
Assisting with the integration of future M&A activity

The Person

ICAS/ICAEW/ACCA Qualified with extensive post qualification experience
Competent as a senior leader and all aspects of employee management.
Extensive experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
Experience of group accounting and consolidations.
Strong management and organisational skills, including comfort in delegating authority and responsibility.

On Offer

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis with a salary up to £85,000 depending on experience. Further to the salary this role comes with a range of benefits including company bonus, pension, and ample holiday allowance. The role will offer a hybrid approach to office-based work also.
