The Role

The FP&A Accountant will support the delivery of all annual budget and quarterly forecasts processes and will work across the wider finance team and business; calculating, analysing, challenging, reporting and explaining the margins for quarterly forecasts, rolling forecasts and budget.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Work closely with the various group businesses to prepare detailed budget and forecasts,
Prepare and communicate detailed explanations for all movements between budget and forecasts (for income statement, balance sheet and cashflow),
Assist with preparation of the detailed pages from KPI pack, executive and board reports,
Monitor and challenge financial and non-financial performance to ensure progress toward business objectives and key performance indicators,
Promote effective cash management and suggest improvements to working capital controls throughout the business,
Provide comprehensive analysis and commentary, ensuring that all key stakeholders have a clear understanding of the performance of the business in both financial and non-financial terms,
Building effective relationships with colleagues in the Business Performance and wider Control teams to the most effective and efficient reporting processes are implemented within the Business,
Ad-hoc support to stakeholders within Control and the wider business as required.

The Ideal Candidate
