iMultiply are working in partnership with a well-established Technology business who are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager based in Edinburgh. This is an innovative and thriving business and they are looking for a qualified accountant to be responsible for the production of external financial reporting for the company, managing the external audit and tax/treasury processes together with project support for the Group Financial Controller.

The Role

The successful candidate will report to the Group Financial Controller will be responsible for the financial accounting of all Group activities. The key focus areas for this role are to maintain and strengthen financial control, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, preparing the monthly financial statements.

Key areas of Responsibility

Manage the external audit process including planning and timing of the audit work, preparation and filing of all statutory accounts.
Providing technical expertise in the preparation of statutory accounts.
Ensure the Audit Committee and Board are provided with appropriate, timely and sufficient information.
Preparation of reporting to the lenders in line with the SFA to include all selection notices and utilisation requests.
Management of the corporation tax requirements for inclusion within the statutory accounts as well as ensuring filing in line with HMRC requirements.
Ensure compliance with corporation tax, VAT & PAYE filing requirements.
Management of the annual insurance renewal process.
Assisting with the integration of potential future acquisitions into the company reporting framework.

The Person

Qualified member of a recognised accountancy body (ACA or other relevant qualifications)
Previous experience as a Financial Reporting Manager
Experience of corporate reporting processes and practices, both internal and external
Extensive experience managing the annual audit/tax process
Extensive experience with creating financial statements
Extensive experience with Microsoft packages, in particular Excel at advanced level (i.e. ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables) and Teams
Extensive experience in using computerised accounting systems

On Offer

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis with a salary up to £60,000 depending on experience. Further to the salary this role comes with a range of benefits including company bonus, pension, and ample holiday allowance. The role will offer a hybrid approach to office-based work also.
