£65,000 - Industry & Commerce - Finance Executive/Management

The Role

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the SLG and have both operational and strategic responsibility within the finance function, as well as working across the wider business. Specifically, you will be responsible for driving performance and maximising value by delivering pragmatic insights and analysis of key financial data, as well as providing strategic and commercial advice.

Leading a small finance team, you will have primary day-to-day responsibility for all financial and management reporting, forecasting, strategic planning and analysis, project costing and key finance improvement initiatives.

Key areas of Responsibility

  • Develop and execute management strategies to ensure the firm has robust financial controls and clear and accurate management reporting.
  • Establishing a strong relationship with the SLG, attending SLG meetings to contribute on strategic, financial, and operational matters and to ensure alignment and collective responsibility for all key projects.
  • Accountable for all financial matters including preparation of management reporting, the statutory audited consolidated financial statements, VAT returns, management of cash flow and payroll and ensuring compliance with all Companies House and other financial requirements.
  • Collaborating with the Business Transformation Project Lead and other key business stakeholders on the delivery a wide range of key business transformation projects, building a continuous improvement environment.
  • Management of relationships with the firm’s bankers and other third-party providers.
  • Responsible for developing the annual budget and financial forecasts based on input from the SLG and leading the presentation of the budget and forecasts to the SLG for approval.
  • Collaborating with the firm’s Projects Manager on the management of the firm’s practice management platform.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to implement new finance and associated platforms.
  • Contributing positively to the team culture and embracing the firm’s core values by demonstrating authenticity, fun, and an aptitude for growth.

The Person

  • ICAS/ICAEW/ACCA Qualified with extensive post qualified experience
  • Competent as a senior leader and all aspects of employee management.
  • Have a strong commercial background, able to understand how best to apply finiteresources to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Be an excellent communicator and collaborator with a strong focus on developingrelationships with key stakeholders.
  • Have a proven track record in presenting financial information to senior leadership.

 

On Offer

 

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis with a salary up to £65,000 depending on experience. Further to the salary this role comes with a range of benefits including pension, and ample holiday allowance. The role will offer a hybrid approach to office-based work also.
