iMultiply are working with a fast growing, adventurous travel business to find their new full time Finance Team Lead in their Glasgow office.

The role

This travel business is actively seeking a dynamic Finance Team Lead. They are looking for an organised operational accounts manager to provide strong leadership to our accounts payable/receivable department and to ensure that the department runs smoothly.

The Finance Team Lead is expected to, but not restricted to:

  • Manage and support the finance operations team, motivating, evaluating and developing their practical and team skills. Develop objectives and goals that align and support the departments objectives and ensure they are being delivered.
  • Overseeing routine department activities to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time while ensuring that the workload is evenly spread across the team. 
  • Ensuring queries from customers and colleagues are handled and responded to in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
  • Migration and reconciliation of data from Vsourz (booking system)
  • Daily AP / AR cash reconciliations
  • Reporting and managing aged Debtors and Creditors, and that customer balances are collected.
  • Month End Tasks and Balance Sheet reconciliations to support the wider team
  • Develop a full understanding of the systems and processes and make improvements.
  • Working with the sales and operations to improve communication and processes

To succeed in the role you will need the following:

  • Previous experience managing an AP/ AR team in a fast-paced high-volume environment
  • Strong People management skills, able to inspire and motivate with a clear sense of purpose.
  • Exceptional Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Time management: Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • An energetic, friendly, team player with a positive attitude
  • Self-starter who will take the initiative
  • Able to multitask, prioritise and establish deadlines to ensure competing objectives are met.

  • A hands-on individual willing to go the extra mile
