Industry & Commerce - Finance Executive/Management

iMultiply is engaged by one of the leaders in the provision of specialist property services in Scotland in their search for a Finance Manager based in Glasgow City Centre on a full-time basis.  This role will be required to work on site full time and is perfectly suited to someone looking to make the next move in their career. 

The Company

A market leader, this company delivers a range of security, cleaning and reactive repair services to over 400 customers, with their main customer base being local authorities, councils and insurance companies.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation, improvement and development of the management accounts and weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Weekly cashflow management
  • Monthly analysis on actual via budget preparation.
  • Effectively managing small team, working to KPI’s and meeting weekly tasks, reporting direct to the MD and non exec FD
  • Liaise with different departments to ensure Finance is properly supporting the needs of the business.
  • Internal reporting and analysis as required.
  • Cost analysis
  • Debtor management
  • Develop systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company's finances.
  • Active management of overheads whilst seeking out areas for efficiencies for savings
  • Overseeing monthly processing of payroll and payments to employees
  • Consolidate monthly results of Uk and Europe division
  • Preparation of forecasts
  • Support the Finance Director in the development and execution of the Group’s taxation strategy
  • Ensure returns for Corporation tax, VAT and other relevant taxes are submitted

To be successful in this role you must meet the following criteria:

  • Sage experience
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles.
  • Track record of working with Excel / Word / Sage 200.
  • Ability to analyse complex data sets.
  • Knowledge of internal control objectives.
  • Excellent communication with 5 heads Department and key customers
  • Experience of working on business plans
  • Track record in obtaining funding – no essential but desirable.
  • Preferable evidential successful track record within a commercially driven environment.
  • Mentoring and coaching abilities as a new finance team is developed
  • Contract experience
  • Strong IT literacy, Microsoft Excel in particular
  • Critical thinking and good analytical skills
  • Hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

On Offer

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis with a salary up to £50,000 depending on experience.  This role will operate full time on site in Glasgow City Centre to support the operations of the business. Further to the salary this role comes with 28 days holiday.
