£45,000 - £50,000 - Non-for-Profit Sector - Finance Executive/Management

The Role

The Finance Manager is a key position within the senior management team, reporting to the Head of Operations and working closely with the Chief Executive. The successful candidate will be a proven business partner who is able to support the organisation to achieve significant growth and ensure a long-term sustainable future through the delivery of its Business Plan.       

Bringing the right qualities and experience as an influencing and inspiring manager the Finance Manager will continue the development of the Finance Team through coaching, training and building expertise to support the delivery of the organisations Business Plan.

On Offer

The position of Finance Manager will offer a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package. The organisation is looking to appoint on a full- time permanent basis and the office premises are located in Edinburgh city centre although remote working will also play a big part of the role.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures which ensure effective financial management
  • Direct the operations of the finance team, ensuring the development and maintenance of appropriate systems, controls and records which ensure compliance with statutory and related accounting requirements.
  • Prepare regular Board and management papers, including accounts, budgets and cash flow projections, which clearly and accurately communicate financial position
  • Prepare statutory accounts and related audit information, in accordance with relevant accounting standards and statutory regulations.
  • Plan, direct and supervise the work of finance team colleagues.
  • In conjunction with senior management, contribute to the risk management and maintain the risk register
  • Oversee preparation of the monthly payroll, and associated statutory returns.
  • Collate agendas and meeting papers for Audit Committee and Finance & Investment Committee.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

  • Fully qualified Accountant – ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA
  • Well versed in both management and financial accounting
  • Treasury management
  • People management experience
  • Ability to engage, interact and influence senior stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
