iMultiply are delighted to be working with a well renowned business in Edinburgh City Centre who are looking to recruit a Finance Manager.

The Role

Working in conjunction with the Finance Director, you will apply a best practice approach to implement control and efficiency within the busy finance team following a significant year of change and growth, both for the business and the team, ahead of the next planned growth phase. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in both running the day to day  finance operations and effecting change aligned with business strategy.

This role will give the successful individual an opportunity to make a positive impact on the business and play a large part in the future success of the business going forward. Furthermore, you will also be heavily involved in systems upgrades, developing detailed management board packs and get exposure to integrations and future acquisitions. For the right candidate coming into this role there is also a steady path for progression in the medium term.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director you will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage, motivate and support the current finance team
  • Review all finance operations (AP, AR, Payroll, O2C) for process efficiencies and implement change to safeguard for scale
  • Work closely with the FD to design and implement deliverable KPIs into the finance team
  • Review monthly close process/overall responsibility for this being completed accurately and on time in line with our Parent company deadlines
  • VAT Review/International Tax accounting/compliance
  • Management of outsourced functions currently payroll, treasury
  • Partnering with Head of FP&A to ensure that all required information is available for external reporting and to the business

Candidate requirements:

  • A qualified Accountant – ACCA/ICAS/ICAEW/CIMA
  • People Management experience and a track record in developing highly motivated teams
  • Demonstrable understanding of how to optimise finance process cycles, ensuring robust controls at every touchpoint throughout the journey
  • Hands on and able to work comfortably with granular detail & high volumes of data
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • Previous experience of dealing with stock and margin analysis
  • Strong knowledge of ERP and other finance systems
