£32,000 - £38,000 FTE (Pro rata for Part time) - Non-for-Profit Sector - Finance Executive/Management

iMultiply are delighted to working with Bike for Good on the appointment a part time Finance Manager to join their award winning team on a permanent basis

Bike for Good have a flexible working policy and this role will offer a mixture of home/office based working, as a part time role this will cover 3.5 days.

The organisation

Bike for Good started in July 2010, unfunded in a small stall in Glasgow’s famous Barras market. They now have two thriving community hub shops in Glasgow, an amazing team of 50 + individuals, and they are changing thousands of lives through cycling.

Their aim is to make cycling accessible to everyone in and around Scotland – no matter what their circumstances.  Their reach extends from young adults looking for a quick way to get to and from school, to older people looking for a low impact way to keep fit.  

The role

This is a newly created role due to the decision to bring the finance function in-house. The Finance Manager will report to the CEO & Finance Director and will be responsible for the entire day to day core finance function.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reviewing and developing controls, processes and procedures
  • All aspects of accounts payable/receivable: processing invoices, setting up supplier accounts, weekly payment runs, allocating payments, credit control etc
  • Daily updating & reconciliation of bank account, credit card & paypal statements
  • Petty Cash management
  • Monthly overhead allocation
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register
  • Monthly Payroll
  • Monthly review of aged debt
  • Monthly review of aged creditors
  • Cash flow forecasting/Analysis
  • Supplying monthly data to funders such as payslips, statements, invoices copies etc
  • Bi -weekly stock meetings and ongoing review of weekly sales
  • VAT Returns
  • Supporting the Financial Director with month & year end accounts

To be considered, you must have the following experience:

  • Have previous experience gained within a similar role
  • Be able to work in an autonomous fashion
  • Be highly competent on MS Excel e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUPS etc
  • High attention to detail
  • Have excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Working experience of XERO (highly advantageous)
