Non-for-Profit Sector - Finance Executive/Management

An Interim Director of Finance role has arisen with a reputable and forward thinking non for profit organization in central Edinburgh. Reporting to the CEO and as part of the Senior Management team, you'd be responsible for Finance, Internal Audit, Organisational Development, and Governance.

This is an interim role which is likely to be for a minimum 3-6 months whilst they recruit the role permanently. For this interim role we're looking for individuals who are on no more than 2 weeks notice.

Duties are likely to include:

Providing support to the CEO as required
Lead staff and ensure they are empowered
Set, achieve and be accountable for team performance targets
Financial planning and modeling both at operational and corporate levels
Treasury management including long term project funding
Establish, review and maintain procedures, systems and controls
Appraising new projects and initiatives
Ensure annual accounts are prepared to a high standard
Oversee the procurement of goods and services
Ensure correct insurances are in place
Responsible for the management of all HR activities including the development of appropriate polices and practices

Who we are looking for:

A qualified accountant with experience operating at senior management level
You should be able to demonstrate the ability to challenge and manage growth
You should have experience managing financial risk
You should have strong commercial acumen
