iMultiply are delighted to be working with a well known national governing sports body looking for a Finance Assistant at their office based in Glasgow. 

The Company 

This organisation is a well established sports governing body with the aim of delivering international sporting success, growing and effectively governing the sport whilst encouraging mass participation. 

The Role

As Finance Assistant you will provide purchase ledger services and support the Finance Department with any other accounting needs.

As Finance Assistant you will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Processing purchase invoices, referee payments and all other payment vouchers via OCR system and thereafter within the finance system, matching with purchase orders where appropriate.
  • Processing other bank transactions through the cash book within the finance system.
  • Analysis and distribution of mail (by post and electronically).
  • Payment of regular fees and expenses from Excel for direct import into finance system.
  • Prepare regular purchase ledger and payment reports.
  • Deal with internal user and supplier enquiries.
  • Assist in scanning of invoices and appropriate supporting information.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Assist in other accounting duties as required.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:

  • Gained experience in a similar role
  • Strong excel and numeracy skills
  • Problem solving – and a proven ability to use your own initiative
  • Great organisational skills – prioritising your workload and working independently, whilst also being a strong team player
  • Brilliant communication skills, written and verbal

On Offer

This is a Permanent Full-Time role based in Glasgow, an easily accessible location with multiple transportation routes. The role offers a salary of £23-25,000, hybrid working, pension and generous holiday allowance.
