Accountancy Practice - Finance Specialist (Tax, VAT, Compliance)

iMultiply are working in partnership with a well-known Edinburgh based Accountancy Practice to recruit an Entrepreneurial Tax Associate/ Senior Associate.

The Firm is now one of the largest Accountancy Practices in the UK with a strong and well-established presence in Scotland.

The Role

The role of Entrepreneurial Tax Associate/ Senior Associate will be to support and be involved in the continued growth of this award-winning team, invested in providing technical excellence to a wide portfolio of clients.

Day-to-day will be responsible for:

Preparation of advance assurances for Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme/Enterprise Investment Scheme
Preparation of share valuations for the purpose of share schemes
Ongoing compliance reporting for share schemes
Annual returns regarding Employment Related Securities
Preparation of Research & Development tax relief claims
Preparation of corporation tax accounts provisions, computations, and tax returns
Technical research to support tax advisory projects

To be considered for the role you will ideally have:

Forward looking attitude with an ability to use initiative and to solve problems
Strong/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Excellent report writing skills
Ability to learn and adapt quickly
Ability to plan and deliver work to tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Interest in career development/progression
Ability to understand and explain technical issues
Degree qualified minimum 2:1 classification
Willing to study towards/continue tax qualifications
