To support with the next phase of growth the business is now looking for a Credit Control Manager to join their dynamic and forward-thinking team.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

The Company

They are looking for an experienced Credit Control Manager to join them on the exciting journey.

The Role

This newly created Credit Control Manager position is a key role within the finance team, and you will also need to develop strong links between Finance, Customer Service and the Sales team. The role primarily manages the debtors’ ledger and the company’s cash collection, whilst managing the company’s exposure to risk, as well as proactively working with the Customer Service and Sales teams to maximise opportunities and develop customer relationships. 

You will be responsible for but not limited to following duties:

  • Leading and developing team to become a truly world class credit and collections function. 
  • As part of the Finance Management Leadership Team, you will work to develop and execute a functional strategy designed to put the function at the heart of delivering strategic objectives.
  • Partner with key functional partners in sales and client services to create an exceptional customer experience, working with them on invoicing, credit and collections.
  • Work with the Financial Controller to develop aligned credit and collections policy and process. 
  • Have a strong bias for action, personal resilience, communicate with clarity and be a considerate, effective leader.
  • Develop and implement effective, proactive credit management policies minimising bad debt. 
  • Maintain bad debt provision. 
  • Maintain accurate, timely invoicing to our clients that creates a differentiated experience and maintains a high level of customer service
  • Provide clients with payment methods that meet the requirements. 
  • Manage aged receivables to the top industry quartile through a positive, proactive chase process.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Experience as a manager of a large credit and collection team
  • Great people management, customer management and cross functional collaboration skills
  • Proven track record of managing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Chartered Institute of Credit Management Certified desirable
  • Experience working on a Finance Management Team desirable 
  • Prior experience with collections software desirable
