iMultiply are working in partnership with a well-known Edinburgh based Accountancy Practice to recruit a Corporate Tax Associate.

The Role

The role of Corporate Tax Associate 
will have the opportunity to develop their career with an award-winning tax team in Scotland, specialising in the growing and ever-changing field of taxation. The role will provide the opportunity to earn experience from a well-establish leadership team whilst working towards a professional tax qualification.

Day-to-day will be responsible for:

  • Handling a portfolio of corporate clients and delivering work to budget and deadlines.
  • Preparing corporation tax computations, provision, and tax returns.
  • Advising on corporation tax liabilities.
  • Assisting with general taxation matters as and when necessary.
  • Maintaining communication with HM Revenue & Customs.
  • Assisting managers with client queries and specialist advisory projects.
  • Progression on to more complex taxation work with support of our experienced staff.
  • Work towards your professional tax qualifications (ATT and CTA) with full study support on offer.  

To be considered for the role you will ideally have:

  • A final year university student, or a recent university graduate with good academic results and transferable skills.
  • Alternatively, you will have relevant transferrable skills gained through your work experience and may be looking for a change of career.
  • Looking to pursue a career in tax, with an interest in corporate tax.
  • Willing to study towards and achieve ATT and CTA tax accountancy qualifications, which will be supported by the firm.
  • Able to demonstrate numeracy and literacy skills from your academic / work experience.
  • A confident communicator who can develop positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including with tax colleagues, clients, and other colleagues across the firm.
  • An experienced IT user, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
