iMultiply are delighted to engaged on the role of a Cash & Banking Analyst for a public sector organisation based in Edinburgh. The role is paying a salary of £22,000 - £24,000 per annum with a highly competitive benefits package.

The Role

As a Cash & Banking Analyst you will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for the effective management of the organisations cashflow. The successful candidate will have ownership of the production and analysis of cash flow forecasting reports; as well as the maintenance of the organisations bank accounts.

The role of Cash & Banking Analyst is offering a salary of £22,000 - £24,000 per annum with a highly competitive benefits package (including study support & a highly generous pension scheme). The office is based in Edinburgh and is easily accessible via public transport. 

You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties: 

  • Responsible for reconciliation and analysis of key bank accounts 
  • Day-to-day cash management and monthly cash forecasting
  • Creation, posting and approval of key banking journals
  • Open and close bank accounts, maintenance of banking services and maintenance of bank signatories
  • Input and approve payments; Cheques, Bankline and BACS
  • Responsible for production of monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Responsible for ensuring the Banking function meet all KPI’s and SLA’s whilst monitoring the integrity of transactions
  • Key point of contact for internal and external parties
  • Banking month end; work with other units/teams to ensure that all necessary adjustments & journals are processed before finance system closedown
  • Monitoring transactional integrity; detect and prevent payment and invoice errors

To be considered for this role you must: 

  • Have previous experience of producing and analysing Financial Reports 
  • Practical experience of journal posting
  • Be working towards or keen to work towards achieving a formal accountancy qualification
  • Be highly competent on MS Excel e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUPS etc
  • Have experience of working in a fast paced environment 
  • Have excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
