iMultiply is working in partnership with Thomson Cooper to recruit an Audit Partner/Partner Designate.

The Practice

Thomson Cooper is an Accountancy Practice with offices in Dunfermline and Edinburgh and has a well-established team of 90 people across the two sites. Their client base is as impressive as it is diverse and reaches across Scotland and the UK.

Despite covid and challenging economic circumstances, Thomson Cooper has thrived and enjoyed a high level of staff retention, as well as attracting returners back to the Firm.

The Role

The newly created role of Audit Partner/Partner Designate will play a key role in the development of Thomson Cooper’s audit offering.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for;

Involvement in the Audit leadership group across Dunfermline and Edinburgh
Growing and delivering a portfolio of external audits across a range of sectors
Leading pitches, tenders and business development activity
Keeping up to date with technical knowledge and changes to accounting standards
Delivering training and mentoring to the wider team
Managing existing client relationships
Identifying cross-selling opportunities
Managing WIP and monitoring billings and budgets
Co-ordinating the team and managing workflow
Displaying the Firm’s values in all activities and working as part of a close-knit leadership group

To be considered for the role you will ideally have;

Professionally qualified with an accountancy body, ACCA/ICAS or equivalent and ideally experienced across a broad range of business types
A strong people manager who enjoys coaching and developing a team
Experience working with a diverse portfolio of businesses
RI status or the desire to attain this in the future
A strong business developer who is keen to grow their network in the East of Scotland
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
