Audit Associate, Independent CA Firm 

Edinburgh 

Up to £27,000 P.A. - plus ACCA/ICAS study support 

Full-time or part-time

The Role 

The position of Audit Associate will ideally be a driven and passionate Part Qualified Accountant with some experience within External Audit. You will report to the Audit Manager and will be given unlimited exposure whilst also being presented with the ability to propel your career forward through the firm’s clear progression path.

  • Assisting with the audit process from planning and completing fieldwork through to completion and sign-off
  • Acting as Audit Senior on smaller audits - taking responsibility for the full audit process
  • Preparation of financial accounts 
  • Point of contact for the day-to-day communication with clients
  • Completing audit and accountancy assignments for a diverse client base including commercial organisations, charities, housing associations and pension schemes
  • Liaising with Managers, Directors and Partners as well as other departments

On Offer:

The full-time salary will be up to £28k depending on experience of the candidate. The firm is willing to provide full study support and offers flexible working hours working remotely. 

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience of working in an accounting firm - essential
  • Be Part-Qualified with ICAS or ACCA - preferred 
  • Have a strong interest/desire for working in Audit
  • Be highly ambitious, organised and professional 
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills required
  • IT literate - Microsoft Office, CCH, Sage, Xero, CaseWare
