£35,000 - £40,000 - Non-for-Profit Sector - Transactional Services (Purchase/Sales Ledger,Credit Control, Payroll)

iMultiply are working in partnership with a long established Edinburgh based institution to recruit an Assistant Payroll Manager on a permanent basis.

The Role

This business-critical role of Assistant Payroll Manager will support the Head of Payroll in managing a large team of 8 Payroll administrators. Applications are invited from experienced payroll professionals who have previously delivered a first-class payroll service in large and complex organisations. To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have managed payroll teams and overseen a monthly payroll for 800+ employees as well as having managed multiple payrolls on a monthly basis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a payroll team of eight
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of designated monthly payroll runs, ensuring all staff are paid accurately and on time
  • Producing meaningful MI for the Senior Management Team
  • Ensuring collective awareness of legislative changes that may impact on processes and systems
  • Bringing a continuous improvement mindset to all aspects of payroll management
  • Support the Head of Payroll with process improvement projects.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • First class experience of having managed large payroll teams within a large complex organisation.
  • IPPM qualified to diploma level or equivalent
  • Highly proficient in payroll rules and regulations
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to problems/implementing consequent changes

On Offer

The role of Assistant Payroll Manager will offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 plus an excellent benefits package which includes pension, ample holidays, and other great benefits. The role will also offer Hybrid working where candidates can work from home between 2/3 days a week. The offices are easily accessible via public transport with parking available onsite.
