The Role

The appointment of an Assistant Management Accountant is a critical role to ensure accuracy of month end reporting and management information. This role is suited to an ambitious, motivated individual used to dealing with high volume transactional data looking to progress in a commercial finance environment.

As Assistant Management Accountant, you will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Work closely with Finance Business Partners to ensure the department deadlines and targets are met.
  • Responsible for preparing and posting month end journals to tight deadlines
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Generating month end reporting, standard reports and ad hoc
  • Producing Daily management information to aid in month end forecasting
  • Assisting finance business partners to pull together monthly P&L and group reporting
  • Assist with preparation of audit files
  • Ad hoc analysis as requested by the business, Finance Director and Finance Business Partners
  • Assisting with the preparation of forecasts, budgets and KPIs
  • Supporting with system implementation and testing


To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:

  • Experience of working in a finance department, in particular responsibility over month end result
  • Ability to work across multiple systems to source the relevant data needed for analysis/given tasks
  • An ability to handle multiple tasks under tight timelines and work under pressure
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience of SAP would be beneficial
