As one of Scotland’s leading Accountancy Firm’s this Practice continues to stand out from the crowd with their proactive and innovative approach. The Firm has recently added to their Audit team at Partner level, significantly increasing their presence in the market.

The Role

The role of Accounts Senior is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Accountant coming from a Practice background to work within an expanding team and Firm. Working directly with the Partner you will be given full ownership to a varied client portfolio and be responsible for developing and coaching the wider team. As part of a growing firm this role offers the long term chance to lead to Director/Partner level for the right individual.

On Offer

The role of Accounts Senior will offer a competitive salary of between £35,000 and £40,000 depending on your level of experience.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

Advising and consulting with clients face to face and by telephone or email
Preparing annual statutory accounts for a wide variety of SMEs
Preparing management accounts
Providing clients advice in how to improve controls and procedures within the business
Preparing cashflows/projections/budgets
Preparing reports in relation to due diligence
Communicating findings to senior management in a clear and concise manner
Managing workload to ensure deadlines are met whilst always maintaining a high level of service
On job support and training to junior staff

To be considered for this role you have the following skills/experience:

Worked in an accountancy firm/practice environment for ideally 3-4 years
Be personable and competent in building trust and rapport
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage and develop existing client relationships
Be confident in working to tight deadlines effectively
