iMultiply are working with a highly established and recognisable charity to find a Finance Assistant for their office in Bridge of Weir.

The role

The Accounts Assistant will be working in the Cashbook team where the individual will be responsible for a range of work across a varied portfolio. 

You will be involved in but not limited to:

  • Processing invoices
  • Matching, coding and batching of invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Financial administration
  • Dealing with petty cash
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Dealing with purchase and supplier enquiries
  • Ensuring compliance with processes, procedures and financial controls

In order to succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Established and demonstrable previous experience of cashbook administration and maintenance within a medium to large organisation is essential
  • Demonstrable previous experience of treasury management and banking across multiple bank accounts and relatively complex cashflow environments is essential
  • Developed practical knowledge, skills and experience in financial accounting together with a sound understanding of accounting procedures and principles including reconciliations and administration of control a/c’s
  • Established experience of working within a busy finance department
  • Practical knowledge, skills and experience across a range of financial processing functions including purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll is desirable
  • Proficiency in a range of computer applications, particularly electronic banking and spreadsheets
  • Previous experience of and proficiency in the use of computerised financial ledger systems and accounting software is essential
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to liaise effectively with other agencies
  • Ability to manage innovation and change with initiative
  • Ability to work on own initiative, manage a varied workload and to meet deadlines

This full time role offers a salary up to £22,500, with flexible hours and a flexible working philosophy.
