Non-for-Profit Sector - Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper

iMultiply are engaged in on an interim Accounts Assistant role in Edinburgh City Centre with an exciting not for profit organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that is comfortable working around the transactional end of the finance function whilst supporting senior management. 

The Company

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established not for profit organisation to cover an internal maternity leave. The role presents the successful candidate with an opportunity to work with an experienced and supportive finance team. 

The Role

This role is pivotal in providing an efficient financial processing capability within the organisation and the successful candidate will provide day to day operational support to the finance team.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Review and approve all Purchase Orders
  • Raise or amend Purchase order change notes directly as required.
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and on a timely basis
  • Reconcile supplier statements as received
  • Raise customer sales invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Monthly payment runs
  • Supporting in the prep of management accounts
  • Supporting fortnightly payroll process
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks as required by senior finance team.

To be successful in this role you must meet the following criteria:

  • Xero experience is desirable to this role.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience dealing with a high volume of invoices.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent administration skills and ability to information.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of numeracy and accuracy.
