iMultiply is working in Partnership with a global accountancy practice that is looking to recruit an Assistant Manager for its fast growing Financial Accounting and Advisory team based in Manchester.
The Firm is part of an international partnership and is a UK Top 10 accountancy practice. The Firm provides Audit, Tax and Advisory services in 135 countries and employs nearly 60,000 people internationally.
The Assistant Manager role will sit within the Financial Accounting and Advisory Services team. This team works directly with clients' Finance teams to deliver business critical projects such as year end accounting to more complex issues like IPOs and M&As.
Assistant Managers are pivotal to client engagements and take the lead in delivering our high quality services.
This is a client-facing role, and you will be responsible for leading teams on and off-site, delivering technical and non-technical accounting project.
The FAAS team provide a fully-managed service that provides on-demand, expert support to our clients' finance teams.
You’ll undertake secondments to support clients through business critical issues.
You will need to be a fully qualified (CA/ACA/ACCA/equivalent) and be passionate about supporting, advising and helping businesses achieve their potential
Ideally you will have gained your experience in a practice environment e.g. external Audit.
Financial process and internal systems review and improvement.
Delivery of statutory accounts preparation and consolidations.
Preparation of year end 'audit packs' and helping clients to be ready for audit.
Support in transitioning to new accounting standards and financial reporting changes.
This is a great opportunity for candidates who are looking to leave Audit but enjoy the variety of working with different clients. It is essentially a hybrid Public Practice/Industry role that will give the job holder a great deal of commercial experience and exposure to interesting projects. There is also a clearly defined career path within the team.
